Aaron was really literally "digging in" to his cello strings on this one, with a jumpy and lively part he was clearly into. Proof of this would be his vocal exclamations at the end of the piece. It sounds like someone feverishly working at getting deeper into something; whether it be the earth, papers, or an impossibly stressful day...

Heavy Pedal Cello began when musicians Aaron Kerr and Tyson Allison met while working together at a bookstore and shared notes and stories about their respective bands they played in at the time.
